Oct 2, 2015- A clash ensued between police and SLMM cadres after police tried to stop the protestors from closing down the east-west highway in the district on Friday.
Police stopped the protestors who came in thousands at Chandranigahapur Chok which lies in the highway. Police fired 20 rounds of shots in the air and lobbed few rounds of teargas shells.
It is reported that a few people from both the sides sustained injuries. The situation is still out of control.
