Kathmandu: Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will begin his six-day India visit from Friday with an aim to bring back India-Nepal friendship back on track.

Briefing media persons here a day ahead of his state visit to India, Oli said his visit will clear the misunderstanding that developed recently between the two neighbours.

He, however, said that his government does not have any specific agenda or proposals to be made during his visit.

"This visit is being organised amid complex circumstances... the major objective is to clear a few misunderstandings that surfaced between the two neighbours in the last few months and taking the bilateral ties to new heights," the PM said.

"We want friendship, co-existence and mutual respect from India and we must continue this age-old relation on an equal footing... we are conscious about our interest," he added.

Refuting speculations about agreement on various pending projects, Oli stressed on creating a favourable and trust-worthy environment for strengthening the historic tie for implementation of development projects.

Observing that his upcoming visit, that begins on Friday, holds great importance for both sides, Oli said that taking the bilateral relations to a new heights and beginning of a new page in bilateral ties is another prime focus.

"We have some expectations ... and great expectation from India ... that is friendly behaviour from the Indian side. We also offer and commit the same on our side," he said.

"Investment in Nepal is secured, profitable and guaranteed ... I will tell the Indian business community in my interaction," said Oli adding that "We don't have any intention to add mud to water any more".

Oli's visit comes at a time when Nepal is struggling to get back to normal from an almost six-month-long Madhesi agitation and blockading of the India-Nepal border by the protestors that led to an acute scarcity of food, fuel and medicines in the Himalayan nation.

The prime minister said the invitation by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was an initiative to take the friendship to a new height on the basis of mutual respect and co-existence.

He said India has already welcomed Nepal's new constitution which was promulgated on September 20 last year. "India invited the PM who was elected under the constitutional provision... that means India has welcomed the constitution in Nepal."

No controversial agreements will be signed during the visit, said the PM adding that "My visit will lay ground for mutual trust and confidence".

"There has been some damage in bilateral relations and my duty is to repair it," he said.

Dwelling on the anti-Constitution agitation by the Madhesis, Oli said the issue will be resolved only through dialogue. "A high-level political body will be formed by this evening to resolve the disputable issues," he said.

The Nepali head of the government, who is embarking on the India visit with a 46-member delegation, further said that no agreement against national welfare will be concluded during his visit.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the prime minister will hold an official meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 20. He will also pay courtesy calls on Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari.

Oli said: "My government does not believe in diplomacy but in honesty and friendship. We do not believe in polished language but we believe in being practical."

"We do not use any card against each other but we just want to see mutual respect from both our neighbours," he added.

"Yes, there are some pending issues before us to accomplish but we need an advanced level of understanding to complete them ... we need to resolve them through the practical way."

This is Oli's first foreign visit after assuming the office of prime minister in October last year. He will return to Nepal on February 24.

At a time when the debate of federal states and provinces are the hottest issues and the constitution deadline is just around the corner, reports that the majority of the Madhes leaders are not Nepali citizens are circulating on various media outlets. According to Sanghu vernacular weekly, Rajendra Mahato is himself is originally a citizen of India, while majority of the Madhes leaders are nonresidential Indians. Mahato, fearing that his origins would be exposed, made it a point to first burn down the documents of the District Administrative Office of Malangawa of Sarlahi in the Madhes revolution. Hence, when so called representative of the people make such demands, it can be easily understood that it is not the want of the people rather a beautifully orchestrated play of the foreign factors.

Sources have said that the CPN-UML understanding the current situation and its repercussions, are adamant on separate provinces of the Tarai region that includes the hill region as well. According to reports, all the Madhes leaders involved in this current debate are of Indian nationality with an exception of Bijaya Gachadar.

Rajendra Mahat was born in Sonbarsha of Bihar while Chairperson Mahanta Thakur of the Tarai Madhes Democratic Party is said to be born in Sursanda of Bihar. Similarly, Ramchandra Jha of the UCPN-M repeatedly demanding an autonomous single Madhes province is from Jayanagar of India. There are reports that he is leaving the Maoist side to join the Madhesi party. Chairperson of the Sadbhawana Party (Ananda Giri) Sarita Giri is also of Sonpur Bihar. Treasurer Renu Kumari Yadav of the Upendra Yadav led Madhesi Forum was born in Madhuwani of Bihar. Urmila Mahato of the TMDP is from Sitamadhi of India while Kalawati Dusadh of the democratic forum is from Motihari. Chandan Shah of TMDP is from Bairganiya, Bihar; Durga Devi Mahato of democratic forum is from Raxaul; Neelam Barma also of democratic forum is from Raxaul; Basanti Jha of TMDP is from Sitamadhi, India.

Such leaders are alleged of buying their citizenship or acquiring it by marrying a Nepali citizen. If such leaders solely represent the Madhes regions of the country while others have no say on it, then we are on the very brink of being just another state of our Southern neighbors.

Kathmandu, November 23. Federalism Socialist Forum President Upendra Yadav has accused the government of committing genocide in Tarai Madhesh.
Issuing a press release on the 100th day of the Madhesh Movement on Monday, Yadav, also a leader of the United Democratic Madheshi Front, accused the government of suppressing people using brute force instead of addressing concerns of Madheshi and Janajati issues.
He accused the government of trampling on democratic norms and values and violating international humanitarian laws and human rights.
The Madhesh Movement is also the liberation movement of the marginalised peoples of the Himalayas and Hills as well as Madhesh and Tharuhat, Yadav maintained.
Rather than addressing the movement, the government is conspiring to pit Madheshi and Pahadi people against each other in a bid to foment communal violence and spoil national unity, according to Yadav. He called on all concerned to remain aware of such a plot and maintain unity in diversity and diversity in unity.
The Madheshi leader also called protesters to provide free passage for ambulances, vehicles of diplomatic missions, the Press, human rights organisations, fire engines and edicine carriers.

Kathmandu, October 8

An unruly mob of around 150 people went to the residence of Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato in Kathmandu, shouting slurs against him and threatening to set his house on fire.

According to a press release issued by United Democratic Madhesi Front, another unruly mob also hurled stones at the Sadbhawana Party office in Kathmandu today.

SP General Secretary Manish Kumar Suman said his family members and the party office staff did not know who these people were.

The UDMF said the ongoing peaceful movement in Madhes was against the single ethnic identity based nationalism and anarchic groups who were opposed to this movement were acting with malicious intent to spread communal clashes.

The UDMF urged the government to stop such communal incidents.

It also urged all stakeholders to express solidarity with its ongoing movement.

Meanwhile, Bijay Kumar Gachhadar-led Federal Democratic Alliance also issued a press release condemning the incident. Stating that such incidents could spoil communal harmony in society, the alliance urged the government and the big three parties to take action against the guilty.

Kathmandu’s Chief District Officer Ek Narayan Aryal said a group of people, mostly Mahato’s neighbours, had gone to his house but he was not aware that they shouted slurs at the family or threatened to set his house on fire. Aryal said security personnel were alert and if an FIR was filed by Mahato or his family, the government would take action against the guilty.

Ever since the UDMF launched agitation in Madhes, Mahato has been leading protests in various Tarai districts.

A version of this article appears in print on October 09, 2015 of The Himalayan Times.

Biratnagar, Oct 7: UCPN (Maoist) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has stressed on forming a national unity government, citing the situation where the country is reeling under the critical condition.

Speaking with the journalists at Biratnagar Airport today morning, Chairperson Prachanda argued that it would be unfortunate for the country if the three major political parties were not to forge a unity in line with the 16-point agreement.

Leader Prachanda, also former Prime Minister, pressed for the earliest resolution of the standoff surfaced among the disgruntled Madhesi, Tharu and various nationalities leaders who have been waging agitation in protest of the newly promulgated constitution.

Stating that the talks with them was moving ahead in a positive manner, he also expressed his confidence that the import of essential goods, including petrol from India would ease at the earliest as the talks, as he shared, at political level with Indian side were being held.

Asserting that the transit right to the landlocked country like Nepal was inalienable, the former prime minister furthermore informed that the government was effortful to import essential goods from other countries via air and land route for the time being.

Asked who would be the next Prime Minister in the consensus government, the chief of the third largest party remarked that the selection would be based on consensus.

He was of the opinion that the unannounced border blockade imposed by India on Nepal had further fostered the unity among the three major political parties.

NEW DELHI: Congress today expressed concern over India's ties with Nepal in the wake of recent statements made by its Ambassador amidst growing unease over framing of its Constitution, and said that the crisis could "compel" it to drift towards China.

"Indian National Congress expresses deep concern over the recent developments and statements questioning the time honoured Indo-Nepalese relationship with little initiative being seen on part of Government of India towards corrective action.

"Prime Minister Modi needs to take stock of the evolving situation and take immediate steps for restoration of this treasured relationship and protection of India's interests," Congress leader Pramod Tiwari said.

He said that the Nepalese Ambassador Deep Kumar Upadhyay has asked India not to "push it to the wall" by choking petroleum and other essential supplies, which could compel it to turn to China despite logistical difficulties.

Tiwari said Nepal was a key neighbour of India and has maintained good ties which need to be carried forward.

He also recalled that Nepal was one of the first ones to be visited by Prime Minister Modi, who has visited the country many times.

Congress had earlier made a strong pitch for the PM to step in to urgently resolve the problems with the "important" neighbour in the wake of growing unease over the issue of Nepal's Constitution.

Aditya Dahal (Google Boy of Nepal) and his mind-boggling story

Media has named him Google Boy of Nepal as he seems to answer questions unanswerable regarding his age.
Some even claim that he is more than a Google boy. Something miraculous is going on within him.
They say contemporary science hasn’t been able to explain the phenomenon going on within him.
Let’s go through why he could be a miracle for the 21st century and how he could be a puzzle science needs to solve.

Things that tell that Aditya Dahal could be a miracle

Aditya was a normal baby till he was two and a half. Then, he lost his ability of normal speech and movement.
1. His parents never thought of admitting him into school as he can neither talk nor even sit without help.
2. About two months back, the parents found that he could write though no one in the family had taught him how to read or write.
What you can see Aditya doing in the video, and why he could be another Google boy
To check Aditya, the news-people from Sagarmatha Television asked him different questions. In the video you can also see some simple arithmetic Aditya has scribbled on paper.
Aditya’s answers to questions asked by the media-men
1: Who is the Prime Minister of India?
A: Narendra Modi
2: (a-b) squared?
A: a(square)-2ab+b(square)
3. Identify the parts of the plant.
A: Flower, leaf, stem, and roots
4: Who invented the fountain pen?
A: Waterman
5: Who was the first Prime Minister of Nepal?
A: Bhimsen Thapa
6: Who is Ukraine’s current president?
A: Petro Podoshonko. (He writes Podo whereas a quick Google search tells that it’s Poro.)
7. Who is the Prime Minister of Nepal?
A: Sushil Koirala
8. What is the height of Mt. Everest?
A: 8848m.
9. When were you born?
A: 2067-4-7
10. Which TV program will air your video?
A: Third Eye
11. When is Republic Day celebrated in Nepal?
A: Jestha 15
12. What does ‘ecole’ mean? (French word)
A: I’m not going to write in other languages today.
13. How did all this knowledge come to you?
A: Saraswati Mata (She’s the Hindu goddess of learning.)
14. Who are you?
A: I am a human being.
15. What will you become in the future?
A: I will be Ram. (Ram is an ideal superhuman for Hindus.)
16. What is the medical problem with you?
A: I don’t have any medical problems.

Now, some of Aditya’s predictions:

Q: When will the Nepali constitution be issued?A: Within 2072 when the quarrels between the political parties end.
Q: Who will be Nepal’s prime minister next?
A: KP Oli
Q: When will Nepal’s load shedding come to an end?
A: The leaders just talk big, they don’t work at all.
Q: When are you going to be alright, Aditya?
A: 2072-3-31. I’m going to be alright, please don’t worry. (Now we are running on 2071-5)

What have Aditya’s parents done so far?

Back in Magh 2069 when Aditya started staggering and his speech got slurred, they took him to Neuro Hospital, Kathmandu. Tests confirmed that nothing was abnormal with Aditya.
Then they visited Kanti Children’s Hospital, Kathmandu. The hospital failed to diagnose his problem.
Next, the worried parents took him to Gangaram Hospital, Delhi, India. The hospital took many tests but every test result came out normal.
Confused, Gangaram Hospital sent the blood samples to high-tech labs in USA and Japan to check for genetic disturbances.
Results were normal.
The last hospital they visited was Hospital for the Disabled at Banepa, Nepal. They, too, found no problems in the boy’s body.
As a last resort, they consulted a renowned astrologer and he confirmed that the boy was going through an astrological phase called Ulka, due to which, he could perform miracles.
The parents are currently planning on visiting top neuro-hospitals in the US.

Is Aditya really a miracle or something else is going on?

If you are a skeptic for miracles, these could be your reasons for the super-normal feats of Aditya.
1. This could be a hoax. – It isn’t.
2. He could have learnt the answers watching TV all day long.
-Can he? Is it possible? If a four year old can watch and remember so many things way beyond his grasp, it is still a miracle.
There have been other miracles in the Nepali media. Once there was a boy on national TV because he could tell the pin numbers inside the unscratched mobile phone recharge cards.
3. His elder sister could have a role in this entire phenomenon!
Like what? Spirit-writing? Hypnosis? Is it a case concerning a poltergeist?
You can’t watch it on the video above but during the interview Aditya’s mother says that it was her daughter who discovered that he could write answers. That was on Ashar 25, 2071 (9 July, 2014).
If you watched attentively, every time Aditya writes his answers, he’s on his sister’s lap. So, she could somehow be guiding him with his answers. Somehow? But how?
That is something we need to investigate with a brand new perspective. We haven’t heard of anyone hypnotizing a two and a half year old kid and turning him into an answering machine.
4. Is he a reincarnated soul?
Could be, but how can we prove it?
5. Does he suffer from Savant Syndrome?
Savant Syndrome causes people to show extraordinary talents. It’s a rare disorder that researchers generally relate to autism. Cases ofpeople with Savant Syndrome have shown that they suddenly start showing prodigious talents usually after an injury to the head. (Did you notice the scar on Aditya’s forehead?)
Some people have started painting beautifully, some have started remembering each day and date from the calendar, some have suddenly started excelling in mathematics, some have become exceptionally good in playing musical instruments…
6 and the most important one: What if his predictions come true?
Yes, we can only wait and see.
What is your opinion on this strange phenomenon? Have you seen anyone like Aditya before? Please share your view.

News in Detail
Prime Minister and Former Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi cut short a television interview after he was repeatedly asked questions about the post-Godhra riots in 2002. Modi terminated the interview to CNN-IBN’s Devil’s Advocate program midway when questioner Karan Thapar asked if he had any regrets about the Gujarat riots and also about his image as an anti-Muslim. Modi first asked for water, then removed the microphone from his shirt and told Thapar that he cannot continue the interview. "The friendship should continue. You came here. I am happy and thankful to you. These are your ideas, you go on expressing these. I can’t do this interview. Three-four questions I have already enjoyed. No more please," he said, abruptly ending the interview. He seemed very nervous and he could not talk nicely. We could clearly see him uttering while talking. He was not even talk nicely and at last he quite the interview when he didn’t know how to answer in English.

Govt initiates talks with agitating Madhesi parties
- Post Report, Kathmandu
Sep 28, 2015- Forty-five days after the Madhes-centric parties began their protests, the government finally initiated the dialogue process on Monday.
The government today formed a three-member talks team to hold dialogue with the parties and groups agitating against the new constitution. The talks panel comprises of Nepali Congress leader and Forest Minister Mahesh Acharya, UML Chief whip Agni Kharel and UCPN (Maoist) senior leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha
The team went to Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party (TMLP) office in Bijulibazar, Kathmandu, to meet the party Chairman, Mahanta Thakur.
The leaders urged Thakur to seek solution through peaceful negotiations instead of resorting to violent protests that have pushed the country to a critical situation. In response, leader Thakur presented a 5-point precondition to normalise the situation in Tarai that has become tense with curfew orders and violence.
The preconditions put forth by Thakur are to recall the Army back and deploy APF as back force, declare people deceased in Tarai protests as martyrs and provide compensation to their families, make arrangement for free treatment of the injured, release those arrested during protests and drop all charges against them.
Claiming that the government has already started addressing their demands as the army personnel have been recalled back to barracks on Monday, one million compensation to each family of deceased has been pledged, providing treatment to those injured, the government side urged the party to sit for formal talks, said TMLP General Secretary Sarvendra Nath Shukla.
However, the Morcha contended the government claims saying that their demands have not been implemented yet.
Likewise, the government team also met Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar this evening.
Gachhadar also presented the 5-point preconditions before the leaders.
Also, Gachhadar presented three bottom lines for talks—reconsider the delimitations of state borders keeping in consideration the Tharu-majority area and demands of Madhesi people, representation based on proportional and inclusive system and demarcation of election constituencies based on population.
According to the Madhesi leaders, the talks committee has assured them of coming up with a concrete proposal on their demands on Tuesday. The leaders seemed more positive and serious towards the demands of Madhesi, they added.

Prachanda is among the biggest and the most popular politicians of Nepal. His real name is Pushpa Kamal Dahal. The chairman of UCPN Maoist is a very well known personality. But his son Prakash Dahal is quite the opposite of it.
Prakash is known to be very mischievous and also has a hu^ge number of criticizers in social media. Lately, he ;left his first wife Srijana and eloped away with Bina Magar to India. Bina Magar and Prakash Dahal were in a group and were climbing the Mount Everest. During the journey they fell in love with each other and right after completing their ascend to Mt Everest they got secretly married and ran away to India.

Because of that Puspa Kamal Dahal is working on reaching a settlement with his son Prakash Dahal’s second wife Srijana at the moment. On the other hand Prachanda’s wife is focused on bringing her daughter-in law back with her if she agrees . It has been reported that the desperate father is even focused on bringing her daughter-in law back with her if she agrees to Srijana for taking care of his grandson. Srijana has been living with her parents in Pokhara after Prakash left her and married another girl.
Presently, Prakash has returned home from India and lives with his parents at their Lazimpat bungalow. Even after staying with Bina for such a long time, he still claims that he has not married her. Prachanda’s wife, who tied the knot between two is stressed and is planning on bringing Srijana back to her house.

Nepal adopted its new fully secular and democratic constitution, after seven years of deliberations on Sunday.
However, this occasion was marred by protests, violence and even death as the Madhesi groups clashed against the constitution over the issue of federating the country. Violence surrounding the federal structure that will divide the country into seven provinces has triggered violence in the Himalayan nation, claiming at least 40 lives including one reported on Sunday.

Expressing concern over the ongoing violence, neighboring country India intervened urging top Nepalese leadership to address concerns of all sides and sending Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar as Prime Minister Narendra Modi's special envoy.
Jaishankar issued this statement following his visit, “India has been strongly supportive of constitution making in Nepal. We would like its completion to be an occasion for joy and satisfaction, not agitation and violence. We hope that Nepal's political leaders will display the necessary flexibility and maturity at this crucial time to ensure a durable and resilient Constitution that has broad-based acceptance."
As Rajeev Sharma pointed out in a Firstpost article, India has reasons to be perturbed about the volatile situation in Nepal. The main crux of the problem from the Indian viewpoint is that the Madhesis have reacted violently to their country’s new constitution. Madhesis, along with the Tharus, form the bulk of population of Terai. The Terai region constitutes one-fifth of Nepal’s landmass, but accounts for over half of the nation's population, is what the article said.
However, India's role in this matter has not been taken very kindly by Nepali citizens, with many of them expressing their sentiments on social media with #BackoffIndia. On Tuesday, #BackoffIndia was trending in Nepal and soon this trend worldwide with several people joining in the online protest globally.
From criticising the interference in Nepal to talking about the crime and other problems in India, the users on Twitter were harsh and critical about the government. It should be noted that several Indians also joined in pointing out the administrations' flaws with the trending hashtag. Here is what some of them had to say
This isn't the first time that Twitter in Nepal has seen a trend protesting against India. Earlier this year, when the devastating earthquake hit Nepal and Indian aid and media rushed in the Himalayan country, there was widespread animosity about the media interference. There was a time when  #GoHomeIndianMedia was trending on Twitter, first in Nepal and then worldwide.

Pushpa Kamal Dahal was born on 11 December 1954. He is simply known as Prachanda. He is a Nepali politician and Chairman of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) (UCPNM). He led a guerrilla war against the government and later served as Prime Minister of Nepal from 2008 to 2009. Watch Full Video. Prachanda led the CPN (M) as it launched a communist insurgency on 13 February 1996. In the ensuing civil war, more than 17,000 Nepalese died. Ultimately elections were held in 2008 and the CPN (M) emerged as the strongest party. The Constituent Assembly of Nepal elected Prachanda as Prime Minister in August 2008.

1) Eastern (Purwanchal) Region
The fourteen administrative zones of Nepal are split between five development regions, one of which is the Eastern (Purwanchal) Region. The town of Dhankuta is the capital of the Eastern Region, as well as the capital of the Dhankuta District. The area around the town is primarily used for agriculture, with small rural villages scattered throughout the region. Dhankuta is located on the North-South Koshi Highway and serves as an important commercial and trading center for the Eastern Region of Nepal.
Located in the Koshi Zone of the Eastern Region, the city of Biratnagar is Nepal's second largest city, offering quite a number of attractions that tourists find appealing. Biratnagar is the gateway to the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, a peaceful haven for Nepal’s flora and fauna and a prime bird-watching destination that is visited by birding enthusiasts from far and wide. Also near Biratnagar is the Hindu pilgrimage site of Baraha Kshetra drawing Hindu devotees to worship.
Trekking is a wonderful way to enjoy the natural treasures and scenic beauty of Nepal and there are many trekking routes to choose from in the Eastern Region. Whichever way you choose to travel you are sure to find many interesting places when exploring the Eastern Region (Purwanchal) of Nepal.

2)Central (Madhyamanchal) Region
As one of the five development regions of Nepal, the Central (Madhyamanchal) Region incorporates the city of Kathmandu, which is the capital of both the region and the country.Kathmandu, and the beautiful Kathmandu Valley are among Nepal's most popular tourist destinations, with many tours andtrekking routes into the surrounding area starting from the city. Kathmandu is also an important commercial center and a sacred place for pilgrims who travel from far and wide to attend various religious festivals and to worship at its many temples.
Located in the Chitwan Valley of the Central Region of Nepal, the vibrant city of Bharatpur has a number of attractions that are enjoyed by local and international visitors, including the renowned Chitwan National Park and Bish Hazar Lake. Historic and cultural attractions include the Diyalo Bangala Palace and Kasrra Palace, as well as the Bageshwori, Kalika and Ganeshthan Temples. Referred to as the 'City of Culture' and 'Nepal's Cultural Gem', the city of Bhaktapur incorporated the Durbar Square, an area incorporating palaces, monasteries and temples and offering a panoramic view of theHimalaya Mountains.
The city of Bhairawa (also known as Siddharthanagar) in the south of the Central Region is the gateway to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha and an important Buddhist pilgrimage site. Lalitpur is an ancient city located south-east of Kathmandu, which abounds with Hindu temples and Buddhist monuments, as well as museums offering insight into Nepal's two most predominant religions – all well worth visiting.
Nagarkot offers visitors the most spectacular views of the Kathmandu Valley, Mount Everest and the Indrawati River Valley, and is a popular trekking destination. With all motorized traffic banned from the city center, Janakpur is a pleasure to explore, and has such a strong Indian influence that visitors may be forgiven for thinking they were in India and not Nepal.
Other towns and cities in the Central Region (Madhyamanchal) of Nepal include Khokana, Hetauda, Harisiddhi, Godavari, Daman, Panauti, Sankhu and Thankot. Each town, city and village in Nepal has a charm of its own, which is very evident in the Central Region (Madhyamanchal). They do however share a common thread in their appreciation for their historic, cultural and spiritual heritage as displayed through their many monuments, temples and museums.

3)Western (Pashchimanchal) Region
With its headquarters in the city of Pokhara, the Western (Pashchimanchal) Region is one of Nepal's five development regions, and despite its name, it actually lies in the middle of the country with the Mid-Western and Far-Western Regions to the north-west and the Central and Eastern Regions to the south-east. The city of Pokhara lies in the picturesque Pokhara Valley, an extension of the Seti Gandaki valley. The Western Region is known for its impressive geographical features, with mountains rising up dramatically to great heights, such as the Annapurna, Manaslu and Dhaulagiri ranges which all have peaks over 8,000 meters in height.
