Paras not removed from captaincy

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) said it has not taken any decision as such to strip off the captaincy from skipper Paras Khadka. News of Paras being dethroned from his post was widely circulated on Friday morning that the cricket governing body has decided to remove the skipper under disciplinary grounds.
However, CAN Acting General Secretary Uttam Karmacharya told cricketingnepal.com that Paras has not been relieved off his duties. A leading national daily has attributed an unnamed CAN official that Paras was removed as captain.
"We have not taken any decision as such. Its a nonsense news," said Karmacharya on Friday morning. Paras has often been under scanner for openly criticizing the cricket governing body and its working ways but the outspoken skipper says he has only "spoken the truth."
Paras has been leading the national team since 2010 ICC World Cricket League Division-V tournament that was held in Kathmandu. Under him Nepal qualified for the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 and has won Division-V, Division-IV, Division-III along with ACC Trophy Elite tiltes.
